Te manaaki i te katoa ki te kura o Hingaia Peninsula. Nau mai haere mai.
We are excited for 2025! The school year commences on Monday 3rd February 8:45am .
School will be open from 8:15am as normal.
Thursday the 6th February is a public holiday with Waitangi Day observed, so we start the year with a short week.
Thursday 15th February is our Whānau Picnic afternoon from 4pm and is an opportunity to meet your child’s studio teachers and find out about what they have planned for the year ahead. Bring a picnic and enjoy the evening.
Term 1 ends on Friday 11th April (2pm finish).
The first 3-4 weeks of every new year is always dedicated to building powerful learning relationships, learning how to learn and developing the studio culture in which every child feels welcome, supported and ready for learning.
Every year we have a school-wide concept that influences our learning throughout the year. For 2025 our concept is: Hapori - Community: It takes a village!

Update on Before/After School Care
Unfortunately, like many of you, we have been informed that Counties Kidz will no longer provide their services to our community. We can appreciate the stress the timeliness of their communication has caused. They have made the decision to cease their operations completely in the area and as they are independently run business we have no say in how they choose to operate their business.
The Board of Trustees and the school leadership team are pleased to inform you, that we have been fortunate to find a new provider for Before and After School Care. Kids After School (KAS) have been successful with their proposal for an onsite programme.
Carly will be meeting with their Managing Director to finalise the details. We can then send you the details of their programme at HPS and link to enrol for 2025.
